drawings - THE LIVING ART MUSEUM
scaffoldings, 2006

anna hallin is born in Olofström in Sweden but lives and works in Reykjavik. At the exhibition at THE LIVING ART MUSEUM, "Scaffolding", anna displayed “wall patterns” and works with drawings, texture and color on pieces of panel that are assembled in the space. In this work she peeked behind the wallpaper and looked at the interchange between the inside and the outside of a wall. Each one of us is a space in which thoughts and images from multiple sources are assembled, an area where an encounter with the unthought is possible.
The work in this exhibition is about a journey of the self in the space. The space in turn can be evasive and sneak away. The walls turn themselves inside out or disappear. The relationship between the walls and the essence of the gap in-between emerges.
