In the photo-series “The Emotional Library Rooms” I built rooms that I photographed with a large format camera using strobes to create the right atmosphere. In these photographs I seek to describe the condition between dream and consciousness. I want to seize the moment when you have a foot in both these worlds simultaneously and when they are equivalent. These rooms symbolize for me different feelings and possibilities. Works by Tarkovsky, Jan Vermeer and the Film Noir genre have been my largest sources of inspiration for this series.
