Though I started making noise at birth, string hammering began after first holy communion and string strumming etc. later on. I've made a bunch of cassettes with Laura Valentino both in San Francisco and Reykjavík since the mid-80s, from improv clatter to skinny songs with bits of beauty hopefully scattered throughout. On my own - Red Nubble Signal (1994) is a tape of drones, semi- and quarterdrones and happy sounds, Blek Ink (1995) has grooves and short sing-alongs about chance, chemicals and time. Some likes: distortion, the sea, the writings of Anna Kavan and Marina Tsvetaeva.
