10th birthday celebrations
The Tate Modern is 10 in May, and to celebrate the gallery is hosting a major free arts festival in the Turbine Hall. Showcasing the independent spirit and artistic diversity for which the venue has become renowned during its first decade, No Soul For Sale at Tate Modern is taking over the South Bank gallery for a weekend of arts events, music, live performances and films.

A festival of independents
Expect plenty of tongue in cheek wit and fresh and exciting art on show at No Soul For Sale at Tate Modern, which is the product of a collaboration between artist Maurizio Cattelan and curators Cecilia Alemani and Massimiliano Gioni. 50 independent art spaces and collectives have given work to the festival, with contributions from as far afield as Prague and Shanghai.

Free events
With cutting edge art installations, live music, film screenings and special performances, there's bound to be something to interest everyone during No Soul For Sale at Tate Modern. The gallery is staying open until midnight on the Friday and Saturday of the festival to cram in even more late night events and special guest appearances.

No Soul For Sale at Tate Modern takes place from Friday 14th May - Sunday 16th May 2010, as part of the Tate Modern's 10th birthday celebrations. Admission to the festival is free.
