BJÖRK
"I need to go to the ocean often, just to be beside it.
And I love mountains. For me, climbing a mountain is very renewing. I sometimes
go back to Iceland to do it." source : The Daily Telegraph, 23

EGÓ
It is hard to talk about the band Egó without mentioning the band Utangarðsmenn (The Outsiders) at the same time. Egó’s first album stayed in the top 10 for the best selling albums in Iceland, longer than all the albums of Utangarðsmenn put together.

LISA HANNIGAN
Lisa Hannigan is the amazingly talented female vocalist you will know from listening to Damie'n recordings and going to his gigs. She sings "Silent Night", the hidden track at the end of "O", and sometimes sings many of Damien's songs solo at his gigs around the country. http://www.damienrice.com |

MAGGA STÍNA OG HLJÓMSVEIT
As the first artist to sign with Björk's record label, One Little Indian, Icelandic Magga Stina is not easy to categorize. With a past as a classical violinist and focal point in the manic jazz-metal pop band Reptiles, she is now on her own, but the music is just as compact and eclectic as the earlier material. |

múm members started to play music way before the band took form. Gunni started his career by doing old-school hardcore on an Amiga. Kristín and Gyða started to play piano and cello at a tender age, and Örvar began to do music when his parents bought their first computer.

RASS
Rass (OK, lets make it clear right from the start, it means “ass”) is a real Icelandic punk band. And, as Rass is a real punk band, it also performed a real punk concert, as far as I can imagine what a punk concert should be about.

SIGUR RÓS
Sigur Rós deliberately put a halt to live performances two years ago, to ensure anything they wrote towards the album would remain fresh in their minds. As a result only two of the songs on ‘Takk…’ have ever been heard at shows (prior to the band’s current European jaunt), with the remaining nine taking off in a multitude of new directions, only hinted at by the band’s previous work.
