Merilene
M. Murphy is the founder of the "World Peace by Any Medium Necessary"
global poetry performance corporation, Telepoetics,
Inc. Telepoetics embodies Merilene's fervent belief that it
is within the human capacity to engineer humane and environmentally
sound experiences and that poetry and technology are cornerstones in
the foundation of this capacity.
First published
at 12, Merilene says she is a born communicator and remembers
writing her first poems at the age of four. Merilene is the poet
author of Under Peace Rising (Woman In The Moon, San Jose,
1995), illustrated by Andres Moreta and introduced by Ntozake
Shange. Under
Peace Rising is available online free. Merilene teaches
arts and technology in Los Angeles and around the world.
