Former Marine ö Six years of service, 2 honorable discharges; Former Corrections Officer; Former Counselor specializing in working with emotionally disturbed children and mentally retarded adults; Former Taxi Driver.

Education: Graduate of Mercy College; Hollywood Film School; Customs School; Police Academy ö Peace Officer Status. In Marine Corp I was a Military Policeman and worked at the Pentagon for 3 years, Ranked attained: Sargent United States Marine Corp.; Film School for Line Production taught bv Dov Simmons, the same educator for Spike Lee and Malcolm Jamall Warner. In 2002 completed courses in Lighting and Digital Video Production at DCTV Film School in NYC.

Special Awards:
Outstanding Service to Mercy College Plaque Certificate of Appreciation, both in the Marine Corp, and for Community Service given to me by Senator Spano, Yonkers, New York.

Volunteer for Literacy Volunteer of America for five years.

Host of 2001 Poetry and Music Venues at Wayne Public Library, Wayne, NJ

Raul hosted the first Slam Off in Yonkers Public Library, Yonkers, NY, which was covered by the Times, Cablevision, and Network T.V.

Introduced Slam Poetry to the Westchester County, NY area in 1997. Raul hosts a Young Peoples Poetry Slam, which is included in the Yonkers Public Library every April for National Poetry Month.
