Robin Sampson

Robin Sampson first tried her hand at poetry as a child, and has returned to it time and again over the years. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., in 1958, she grew up in San Jose, Calif. Her writing grows from diverse influences. A degree in geology, a stint playing bass in a band, working in bakeries, doing direct sales, the many places she's lived, being a mother, and 10-plus years as a volunteer breastfeeding counselor. There has also been writing groups, poetry readings, and the Internet, but most of all, she says her writing has been influenced by the people she has known over the years. Sampson currently lives in Connecticut with her husband and three children.
