More than 20 Poets from around the world will celebrate the publication of The World Healing Book & The Book of Hope in response toÊ 9/11.

Editor Birgitta Jonsdottir from Iceland and twenty contributors will read from two extraordinary anthologies, The World Healing Book and The Book of Hope, that hopes to bring healing and understanding to New York City. The reading is on May 18, 2002 at 2pm at St. Agnes Library, New York City. The contributors include Gigi Zoppello from Italy, Kate Levett from England, Vidya Krishna from India and Al Aronowitz, Anthony Maulucci, D. H. Melhem, Galen Strazza, James Lane, Jan Buchalter, Lisa Bourbeau, Maurice Peterson, Ms Mellie, Pamela Uschuk, Raul Maldonado, Rhonda J. Nelson, Richard Parisio, Robin Sampson, Savannah Sky, Silvia Brandon, Terry Lowenstein, Zo‘ Anglesey and Candice Falloon reading the work of Judi Armbruster. There are also poems from the Dalai Lama, Sufi Master Muhammad Suhri, and Lawerence Ferlinghetti.

"The anthologies were a direct response to the fall of the towers and its outcome around the world. Major poets, artists, writers, and spiritual leaders contribute to the books with their thoughts and anyone reading the two books will hopefully feel joy, hope and understanding," said editor Birgitta Jonsdottir.

The two anthologies is published by Beyond Borders, a cutting edge publishing house from Iceland with it's roots in cyberspace. Birgitta Jonsdottir is the editor and the creator of the anthologies
